su56
On a mid-nite train to nowhere I left my home of long ago Destination..sites not set on Wracking brain tis to or fro Journey begun without an ending Search high and low for beconing bright May be to hasty in my decision Left at first when day was light... Seems to me..I run too quickly No map nor compass I employ Left my true love by the wayside My grown up man who is a boy... Understanding self my true realization I'm not ready to be so tied... Were it not with thoughts of preservation To know my dear one I had lied? Someday when.. I know not yet love When I am sure my heart is true I will find my way to happiness And at the end..Will I find you?
su56
Here is another one I wrote.. ~Dream Lover~ I held you in my dreams I didn't even know your name A picture of some fantasy To me you slowly came.. A unique human specimen Without a single flaw Buried deep within my brain The dream it told me all... I know you must be out there Waiting for me to find That picture perfect stranger Who's trapped inside my mind And when I go to sleep at night Will you forever come to me? Embracing me in encompassed love For all eternity? Someday I just may find you This stranger I've never seen Lost in the land of midnight sleep Of whom I often dream.... su56
My Son's Secret My son has hidden a secret For over twenty years He was afraid to let it be known 'Cause of rejection, pain, and fears He told me all about it With tears streaming down his face It was so hard for him to tell me He kept saying he was a disgrace He didn't know how to begin To tell his secret to me He was afraid that I would reject him But he had no cause to be I held his head against me "Please God, heal the hurt I pray" My son has finally told me All his life he has known he was gay "My son", I said, "I love you still" "Did you expect my love to waiver? This secret you've had for twenty years Could make me not love you-never!" "A mothers love, it knows no bounds I will love you till the end of my days But other people's ignorance May not understand your ways" "The only advice I can give to you Is to your own self you must be true Don't try to be what you're not, my son Because pretending will never do" "I know your secret was hard to tell Yes, for me it was quite a surprise But I love you no matter what, my son Now go wipe the tears from your eyes"
