Introspection into Humanity

Just think, there are many people out there that have never been to a beach before. Many city-dwellers have never experienced nights out in the countryside, gazing into the night sky brightly lit with stars. As one person goes to bed at night, another awakes to take on the day on the other side of the world. An opera house is filled with poised, middle-aged individuals eager to hear the featured aria. Not far away, a group of teenagers storm into a rock concert to scream and shout the night away. Dressed in a suit and tie, a computer technician tries to fix a problem with a piece of hardware at his office, frustrated. At the same time, not far from him, a little girl is exuberant over getting her favorite toy for her birthday. A fisherman at sea gets hit with enormous waves on the boat while husband and wife argue for no apparent reason at home while their children are in their bedroom, shaken up and scared. While someone is depressed with the weight of the world, another feels happy and light as a feather.

A wealthy Japanese business executive sits at the bar while watching a kabuki show. Two streets over, a tired elderly woman inserts quarters from her paper cup into a slot machine, cigarette in the other hand, slouched into her seat. Two teenage girls at some high school are gossiping over who asked who out, flipping through a Cosmopolitan magazine, waiting for class to start. In the computer lab just down the hall, a student plants himself in front an empty computer to play a videogame, slyly hiding it from the librarian. At the same time, a lady who was recently in a serious car accident hundreds of miles away rests on the hospital bed while mom and dad sit beside her to be at her aid. A young couple becomes husband and wife and dance to their heart's content at the reception, while another recently wed couple fills out their divorce papers. A needy and desperate homeless man with a large beard wearing a dirty flannel shirt stands at the corner of a four-way street to busk for change, while a thirty-something lottery winner in a Cashmere sweater drives by in a brand new Lexus with his windows rolled down.

Everyone is different, and not everyone is going to get what he or she wants. Just think, just think.
