An Adventure

But my heart is bound to this day.

I was smiling

I sloshed up on the shore.

I just had an adventure.

Life goes quick,

faster than my breath

after my short journey.

It took me from my past,

and helped wash some of the current

to the side.

Proud with my shirt and tie

I stood with the wind at my side.

My shoes kept me burdened

in the pit of sand.

I removed them along with my socks.

I knew with this adventure, I was here

to destroy

her one valuable that binds me.

I had a lot of paths from here, the

dips the valleys were

so uncertain

and I

chose each one unknowingly

I just chose them

just pushed my feet

through and I crunched

what I had to

and pushed

and moved there

I had

to get there. Fast

I had to

I was trying so

I was trying so hard

and I dipped my head

and thought

about my sighs. It was

her I sighed for

and this

body, and this freedom

I was going to destroy.

I had to destroy.

The wind pushed on my face

my body on the water.

Fully clothed i trudged through.

Got heavier and heavier

as my clothing

pulled me down.

And as I was about to succumb

and give out. I sighed,

got the splash of the next wave

and a gust of wind on my face.

I smiled one last time

and I reminded myself this was for

me, this was because of her.

Because I chose this

I did. It was me.
