Spredn311luv
And my fiance and I are very happy. But there is one problem, I don't have health insurance so I don't have maternity insurance. Does anyone know what I can do? or where i can go to get maternity insurance now that I'm already pregnant. And if it is affordable? or if you don't have insurance, what do you do? Thank you. vandgsmom
The US government has very lenient Medicaid requirments for pregnant women. Pre Natal care is paramount, and for once the government gets it. Try your local DHS office, if you still don't qualify, then maybe they DO know of some local insurance carriers that will cover already pregnant women... rose2summer
Contact your local medicaid office. They provide maternity insurance if you are low-income. If you don't fit into their income bracket, I believe that planned parenthood can help you too, or at least refer you to somewhere that can help. Go to this site for the medicaid office in Virginia: www.dmas.virginia.gov/ Hugs, Rose
amtjrtcet
Yep, Medicaid. Contact your local health department. There is a plan called Plan First.

Ians Mommy
First off, CONGRADULATIONS!!! I'm not sure but I think if you call the state, they will give you free insurance because you're pregnant and then insurance for the baby once he or she is born. Dilly
YAYAYAY! Insurance you can get from either your employer or his! You could hunt for a new job or he can. That's not legally a preexisting condition so you should be fine.
