Gecko
Hospital Anxious now, pacing through the halls. Steer past the people that frighten. Waves of stress from every direction, Jading my mind, Sucking the energy which feeds. Retreat to the darkness, Enveloping me in panic. As heads crack the wall, The demons come crawling back. Chained to the floor, I bleed to purge. I walk through the corridors, Time becomes a blur. Silent ticking flows like a snail. Unconscious, then conscious again. They come now, Impartial giants drag me away, Shadows following in their wake. Panic. Piercing pain, Gagging the snake slithering down my throat. Tie it tighter, tighter, please. Filled with satisfaction, But the pain… Silver salve fills my innards.
