You should have let me be...

Well i know it ain't a great poem but it needed to be said so... Poetry expresses my feelings best and i'm to angry to make it work properly! Sometimes writing things down makes you see things clearer!

 

For months we were friends,

For days we were lovers.

At nights we cared for one another.

 

Deep down inside i needed an escape,

A way out,

A person to trust.

I cared for you,

You cared for me.

We were friends,

Far from enemys.

 

But soon but trust did alter,

Leaving you to question.

Little did you realise,

My friend you still were,

The arguments that did arise,

Never did make sense.

 

Slowly you downed me,

Made me hold my breath,

Covered me,

Suffercated my soul,

I couldn't breathe.

 

Asking you for space,

Turned into a living nightmare,

Wanting my life back,

Seeing nothing but the darkness of black,

I heard you cry,

Never thought i'd be the the one to let your spirit die.

 

Soon though,

It became to much,

No space,

No life,

No happiness.

 

You say it's my fault you ended up like this,

I'm sorry mate but saying goodbye was bliss.

Never wanted to be the cause of your tears,

Just wanted to be more then any of your other peers.

 

Tried to help,

But lost myself,

Its not my fault,

You heard me,

You shoulda known better,

You should have let me be...
