SLAM! What makes you scream and cuss? SMACK! Why do you do this to us? WHAM! I'm tired of picking up the slack THWACK! I'm winding up to hit you back... SLAM! You come home drunk like every night But this time I'm waitin' for a fight How many bars you drink dry? While your children sit at home and cry I hear the key rattle in the lock It's almost time for us to rock... SLAM! What makes you scream and cuss? SMACK! Why do you do this to us? WHAM! I'm tired of picking up the slack THWACK! I'm winding up to hit you back... SLAM! You've got no excuse, no alibi Kicking sand into your eyes This doors been opened, no going back Last night was your last attack Your blows land like hot lead But I'm not stopping till your dead SLAM! What makes you scream and cuss? SMACK! Why do you do this to us? WHAM! I'm tired of picking up the slack THWACK! I'm winding up to hit you back... SLAM! Does this make me better than you? I've won old man, no more to do No longer that boy you can put down I fought the king and won the crown Learn that time passes like grains of sand While you were passed out I became a man SLAM! You're no longer welcome here 'Fathers' no longer your name, I fear You wont leave another bruise On my sister, this I choose You can no longer get ahead With those dumb things you did and said SLAM! What makes you scream and cuss? SMACK! Why do you do this to us? WHAM! I'm tired of picking up the slack THWACK! I'm winding up to hit you back... SLAM! --- Just in case warning bells went off, I have a great relationship with my parents, one I'm very greatful for. I read a short story today that gave me a very detailed look at the other end of the spectrum, and inspired me to write this...
