Lonely Saturday

[Ms. Babydoll]

*I wrote this about today and how I felt, I spent my whole day alone and the weather was bad, but hey, it was my inspiration to write this*

 

I wake to the sound of rain

Trickling down the window

A breeze hits my shoulders

And I suddenly long for your embrace

Wishing I had woken in your arms

 

Everything is quiet

Setting my mood off balance

I find the house empty

So I sit alone in my living room

 

The clouds grow dark around me

And the rain continues to fall

Singing its sweet song of coldness

As the wind squeals in pain

 

Hours seem like years

Each minute a passing eternity

I wait for comfort

But no one dares to show

Or reach out from the shadows

 

I want to talk to someone

Have a conversation to grasp hold of

But silence is the loudest thing

I can hear

 

As the rain keeps falling

And thunder rumbles in the skies

The fire is the only substance

Setting this dark edged room alight

 

I wait for you

While this lonely Saturday draws to an end

Great work. Its a really nice poem. A little sad yes but its good. I can also relate to that
