"The Puberty Book"

PDHPE - Personal Development Health and Physical Education, high school theory. I remember we could never stop laughing at the cartoon videos, highly entertaining.

Ahh the good ole days of laughing at the word vagina

My dad sat me down when I was 5 because I asked him numerous times....I was a very curious kid..what can I say?

haha If everyone could learn like that it would be much better.

My father and I still keep completely open lines of communication with regard to sex. In fact, just the other day he and I were discussing the role of a badet in American households. Hahahaha.

An older boy told me and a bunch of friends - I forget what age I was probably between 6 and 9. We didn't believe him, (we were a bit disgusted) in fact, one of the other kids my age later told us he asked his parents if it was true, and the parents said it wasn't! weird, huh? But his mother was a bit religious.

I later asked by own Dad and he confirmed with a proper explanation, and a cartoony book later appeared around the house with all the pictures.

It was a long time before I found out it was called "The Birds and the bees", and I don't think I ever found out *why* it was called "The birds and the bees"...

i have two older brothers. i kind of... ALWAYS knew about "the birds and the bees." then when i was about 8 i found a copy of "Everything You Always Wanted To Know About Sex" hidden in a neighbor's back yard and it was all love and rockets from then on. i knew what a clitoris was before most of the girls in my neighborhood did.

by the way, they call it "the birds and the bees" because it sounds better than "the dogs and the camels".

Yeah it could have been embarrassing if I was a bit older and some other kid asked me, "Do you know about the birds and the bees?"

"No"

"WHAT?! You don't know about the birds and the bees!??? OH MY GOD LISTEN EVERYONE IN THE CLASS, INCLUDING THE TEACHER, THIS GUY DOESN'T KNOW ABOUT THE BIRDS AND THE BEES!!!"

"I mean yes."

"Well go on tell us, so...."

"Err....They can fly?"

Thankfully I don't think that ever happened...

Actually I think we called it, "The Facts of Life"

Oh, I just remembered. When I was about 12 or so, I stayed in my aunt's old bedroom at my grandparents' place. She had a nice collection of books, including Snoopy comics. But behind those, was a book that I'm pretty sure I wasn't supposed to find. I found "The Joy of Sex."

yes, I read it
