Siraf
Winter's Stay The world stands still, I need to, Feel the breeze upon my face, Of the chill of Winter's embrace, Killing the trees, no sound to protest, The snow will never cease, the cold will infest, Light blue sky, Grey of air, By the time time stops, for it does not care, Know it not it knows not what it does, To the balance of nature or what it was, Leaves still in the air, breath a cloud, Trees stiff everywhere, Robins' a crowd, How can you see what is not meant to be? When it comes at a pace, when you learn it's let free, The beauty so bitter, innocence so soft, Black birds in the air, quite still but aloft, When that time passes and Winter does die, It is but an illusion for Winter does lie, And when warmth is over and weakness is seen, Then all will be white from what once was green.
