For Those Out There With a Fallen Heart

Anyone going through a breakup, that are feeling really sad... and need some music to pushem through... Damien Rice is the way to go. His lyrics are bar none the most powerful words in music to me. I hope you find the same if you listen to his music.

Cannonball

Delicate

Cold Water

Cheers Darlin'

The Blower's Daughter.

Older Chests

Those are my favorites by him. Best to discover him in that order.

A sample "Cannonball" (exceptional song for the first time lovers):

Stones taught me to fly

Love taught me to lie

Life taught me to die

So it's not hard to fall

When you float like a cannonball

Still a little bit of your song in my ear

Still a little bit of your words I long to hear

You step a little closer TO ME

So close that I can't see what's going on

Sample from "Delicate":

We might live like never before

When there's nothing to give

Well how can we ask for more

We might make love in some sacred place

The look on your face is delicate

So why do you fill my sorrow

With the words you've borrowed

From the only place (that) you've known

And why do you sing Hallelujah

If it means nothing to you

Why do you sing with me at all?

Sample from "Cheers Darlin'"(By far the most powerful):

And I die when you mention his name

And I lied, I should have kissed you

When we were running the reins

What am I darlin'?

A whisper in your ear?

A piece of your cake?

What am I, darlin?

The boy you can fear?

Or your biggest mistake?

Sample from older "Older Chests":

Mama tried to wash their faces

But these kids they lost their graces

And daddy lost at the races too many times

She broke down the other day, yeah you know

Some things in life may change

But some things they stay the same

Lost lovers... break hard. It feels good when you grow away and look back. Its how the old timers pass time so well.
