healinginnyc81
I WILL LOVE AGAIN By: Lara Fabian Did I ever tell you How you live in me? Every waking moment, even in my dreams And if all this talk is crazy And you don't know what I mean Does it really matter, Just as long as I believe? chorus: I will love again though my heart is breaking I will love again stronger then before I will love again even if it takes a lifetime to get over you, Heaven only knows I will love again People never tell you The way they truly feel I would die for you gladly If I knew it was for real So if all this talk sounds crazy And the words dont come out right Does it really matter If it gets me through this night? Repeat Chorus I will love again One day I know I will love again You can't stop me from loving again, breathing again, feeling again I know one day ... I will love again. I found this inspiring. It's how I wish I could feel right now. "I WILL love again"

metalheart
Yeah Hunny .. "I will survive" its classical a one! I wanted share with you this lyrics, which I "accidentally" heard for first time when I was depressed by my grandma's death.. and recently I hear it on the radio the "Valentines Day" .. kinda "curious" thing because it may apply for both situations.. ( Death Loss and Breakup) Dido - See the sun I'm comin' 'round to open the blinds You can't hide here any longer My God you need to rinse those puffy eyes You can't last here any longer And yes they'll ask you where you've been And you'll have to tell them again and again And you probably don't want to hear tomorrow's another day Well I promise you you'll see the sun again And you're asking me why pain's the only way to happiness And I promise you you'll see the sun again Come on take my hand We're going for a walk, I know you can You can wear anything as long as it's not black Please don't mourn forever She's not coming back And yes they'll ask you where you've been And you'll have to tell them again and again And you probably don't want to hear tomorrow's another day Well I promise you you'll see the sun again And you're asking me why pain's the only way to happiness And I promise you you'll see the sun again And I promise you you'll see the sun again Do you remember telling me you found the sweetest thing of all You said one day this was worth dying for So be thankful you knew her at all But it's no more And you probably don't want to hear tomorrow's another day Well I promise you you'll see the sun again And you're asking me why pain's the only way to happiness And I promise you you'll see the sun again And I promise you you'll see the sun again And I promise you you'll see the sun again And I promise you you'll see the sun again I promise you you'll see the sun again See the sun again See the sun again See the sun again See the sun again See the sun again See the sun again See the sun again See the sun again I hope that might be useful in your healing process.. keenan
Excellent thread! I have so many, but three are making me feel good right now. Sorry for the length, but these songs are worth it...check 'em out! (ah...but fair warning that there's a significant jam band/bluegrass bias, so if you can't stomach that, then skip it.) (1) Railroad Earth, "Long Way to Go" i wore my boots out walkin' poured my heart out talkin' i felt the pain & i broke the chain but i still got a long way to go been on the road 'til tomorrow been through the joys & the sorrows came through the flood & i pulled through the mud but i still got a long way to go been in the back-room dealin' been on a long hook reelin' crashed in the shed & i woke in a sunny bed & i still got a long way to go been on the rails & big muddy I've crossed the trails rocky & rutted been down the road a million miles but i still got a long way to go i've traveled near & traveled far i beat a hole in my guitar crawled with the zeroes & i stood with my heroes & i still got a long way to go been in the rain & on the run i worked a long day in the sun i slopped the pails & i beat the nails but i still got a long way to go i tried the a verse as the b verse i took the c verse to the chorus rewrote & changed it then rearranged it & i still got a long way to go i lost my way in darkest night i woke again & saw the light opened the book & i . . took a look but i still got a long way to go tell me what . . . what is the soul of a man? he's got to reach up his hand tell me what . . . what is the soul of a man? he's got to reach out his hand & i still got a long way to go still got a long way to go still got a long way to go (2) Tim O'Brien; Less and Less I try to travel around with less and less I tried them all and the simple way is the way that's best I save a lot of time not havin' to choose What color shirt I wear or which pair of shoes Don't need a guitar to sing my song Wherever I land I'll always get along Chorus: I've been up and down the road a time or two I guess Now I try to travel around with less and less I had a woman once, she was not my wife I took a long detour on the road of life I carried that weight and almost broke my back Nearly lost the ones I love getting' back on track Wasted lots of time and I still feel the pain Made a vow that I won't go through that again Chorus Coffee in the mornin' a little wine at night A meal somewhere in the middle I think I'll be alright I've got my pride, I got a smile to greet the day I got a friend or two to help me through when I lose my way Don't need a guitar to sing my song Wherever I land I'll always get along I've been up and down the road a time or two I guess Now it's time to travel around with less and less (3) Bonnie Raitt, I Will Not Be Broken (abridged) That was then this is now Found my way back here somehow Knew you'd have to let me go Told you once I told you so Take me down You can hold me but you Can't hold what's within Pull me round Push me to the limit Maybe I may bend But I know where I'm not going I will not be broken I will not be broken I will not be... Someone other than who I am I will fight to make my stand Cause what is livin' if I can't live free What is freedom if I can't be me

Spawn
Beatles - Let it Be ============== When I find myself in times of trouble, mother Mary comes to me, speaking words of wisdom, let it be. And in my hour of darkness she is standing right in front of me, speaking words of wisdom, let it be. Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be. Whisper words of wisdom, let it be. And when the broken hearted people living in the world agree, there will be an answer, let it be. For though they may be parted there is still a chance that they will see, there will be an answer. let it be. Let it be, let it be, ..... And when the night is cloudy, there is still a light, that shines on me, shine until tomorrow, let it be. I wake up to the sound of music, mother Mary comes to me, speaking words of wisdom, let it be. Let it be, let it be, .....
Diggitydave
I took my love, I took it down Climbed a mountain and I turned around I saw my reflection in the snow covered hills ’till the landslide brought me down Oh, mirror in the sky What is love Can the child within my heart rise above Can I sail thru the changing ocean tides Can I handle the seasons of my life Well, I’ve been afraid of changing ’cause I’ve built my life around you But time makes you bolder Children get older I’m getting older too Oh, take my love, take it down Climb a mountain and turn around If you see my reflection in the snow covered hills Well the landslide will bring it down If you see my reflection in the snow covered hills Well maybe the landslide will bring it down Fleetwood Mac Landslide

gratefulpain
Michael Bolton Gonna break these chains around me Gonna learn to fly again May be hard, may be hard But I'll do it When I'm back on my feet again Soon these tears will all be dryin' Soon these eyes will see the sun Might take time, might take time But I'll see it When I'm back on my feet again CHORUS When I'm back on my feet again I'll walk proud down this street again And they'll all look at me again And they'll see that I'm strong Gonna hear the children laughing Gonna hear the voices sing Won't be long, won't be long Till I hear them When I'm back on my feet again Gonna feel the sweet light of heaven Shining down its light on me One sweet day, one sweet day I will feel it When I'm back on my feet again CHORUS And I'm not gonna crawl again I will learn to stand tall again No I'm not gonna fall again Cos I'll learn to be strong Soon these tears will all be dryin' Soon these eyes will see the sun Won't be long, won't be long Till I see it When I'm back on my feet again When I'm back on my feet again I'll be back on my feet again
Tylin
One of my favorites: Savage Garden - A Thousand Words We stumble in a tangled web, decaying friendships almost dead And hide behind a mask of lies We twist and turn and we avoid, all hope of salvage now devoid I see the truth inside your eyes So take all this noise into your brain and send it back again I'll bear the cost, shed my skin, call you up and then... I'll say the words out loud [chorus You could resurrect a thousand words to deceive me more and more A thousand words will give the reasons why I don't need you anymore Time manipulates your heart, preconceptions torn apart Begin to doubt my state of mind But I won't go down on what I said I won't retract convictions read I may perplex, but I'm not blind So take all this noise into your brain and send it back again I'll bear the cost, shed my skin, call you up and then... I'll say the words out loud [chorus ] I'll say the words out loud. I'll say a thousand words or more Manipulation. Fabrication. Conversation. Annihilation I'll say a thousand words or more Damnation. Frustration. Elevation. Procreation I'll say a thousand words or more [chorus ]
byates5637
This is one of my favorite songs. I don't know if it really helps heal or makes it worse, but i just feel like i can relate to the lyrics SOOOO much. what do you think? Nine Inch Nails Something I Can Never Have i still recall the taste of my tears. echoing your voice just like the ringing in my ears. my favorite dreams of you still wash ashore. scraping through my head 'till i don't want to sleep anymore. [Chorus come on tell me. you make this all go away. you make this all go away. i'm down to just one thing. and i'm starting to scare myself. you make this all go away. you make this all go way. i just want something. i just want something i can never have you always were the one to show me how back then i couldn't do the things that i can do now. this thing is slowly taking me apart. grey would be the color if i had a heart. i just want something i can never have. in this place it seems like such a same. though it all looks different now, i know it's still the same everywhere i look you're all i see. just a fading * * * *ing reminder of who i used to be. [Chorus] i just want something. i just want something i can never have i just want something i can never have think i know what you meant. that night on my bed. still picking at this scab i wish you were dead. your sweat and perry ellis. just stains on my sheets. keenan
Well, ok. If we want to play hardball, Nine Inch Nails has another angry & satisfying song that walks the line between helping and hurting: Only I'm becoming less defined, as days go by Fading away, well you might say I'm losing focus Kind of drifting into the abstract in terms of how I see myself Sometimes, I think I can see right through myself Sometimes, I think I can see right through myself Sometimes, I can see right through myself Less concerned, about fitting into the world Your world that is, cause it doesn't really matter anymore (No, it doesn't really matter anymore) No, it doesn't really matter anymore None of this sh... really matters anymore Yes, I am alone, but then again I always was As far back as I can tell, I think maybe it's because Because you were never really real to begin with I just made you up to hurt myself I just made you up to hurt myself Yeah, and I just made you up to hurt myself I just made you up to hurt myself Yeah, and I just made you up to hurt myself And it worked Yes it did! There is no you, there is only me There is no you, there is only me There is no * * * *ing you, there is only me There is no * * * *ing you, there is only me Only (x4) Well, the tiniest little dot caught my eye And it turned out to be a scab And I had this funny feeling Like I just knew it's something bad I just couldn't leave it alone Picking at that scab It was a doorway trying to seal itself shut But I climbed through Now I'm somewhere I am not supposed to be And I can see things I know I really shouldn't see And now I know why now, now I know why Things aren't as pretty on the inside There is no you, there is only me There is no you, there is only me There is no * * * *ing you, there is only me There is no * * * *ing you, there is only me

I'm going under (going under) Drowning you (drowning you) I'm falling forever (falling forever) I've got to break though I'm. So go on and scream Scream at me So far away I won't be broken again I've got to breathe... I can't keep going under I love this.. SuzieB
This one is good, too. Yes, it is rough to get over someone...for me it is a series of unsuccessful relationships that were hard on the heart. "Insensitive" by Jann Arden How do you cool your lips After a summer's kiss How do you rid the sweat After the body bliss How do you turn your eyes From the romantic glare How do you block the sound Of a voice you'd know anywhere Oh, I really should have known By the time you drove me home By the vagueness in your eyes Casual good-byes By the chill in your embrace The expression on your face That told me You might have some advice to give On how to be Insensitive How do you numb your skin After the warmest touch How do you slow your blood After the body rush How do you free your soul After you've found a friend How do you teach your heart It's a crime to fall in love again Oh, you probably won't remember me It's probably ancient history I'm one of the chosen few Who went ahead and fell for you I'm out of vogue, I'm out of touch I fell too fast, I feel too much I thought that you might have Some advice to give on how to be Insensitive
