Audacities of untolerant acts of defiance,

Bring it down to the earth around,

and crush heart, mind, and soul.

Leaving it all behind, the infinite circle

of normal acts become insignificant,

and once gone never come back the same.

The heart lies of jealousy,

yet no one will want to blame,

for it is the head who wins,

its love is true to be told.

Come back home one will realize

everything stayed the same,

and no one changed because one was gone.

Life goes on, this is realized,

one person made a difference

to a few, but not all.

Very nice. Very moving. I used to think that if you took one cog out of the equation that it didn't matter.... it did. Everything changed.

 

I know what you mean though. Sometimes when the change is sooooo slight. Everything changed. But things just continued as normal.

 

One of the things that I am fortunate in... is that my children are little and don't understand.
