Interstate of Freedom

How many shattered, unreachable dreams there have been in the past, now, and forever.

Due to a large scale rejection of becoming the true self.

To be free of accidents and detours.

On the road of life.

Why does one let themselves be part of an accident or take the detour when they know that it only takes longer?

To become.

To arrive on the interstate of freedom.

Why does one feel the need to speed on the road of life only to get a ticket?

The ticket of ignorance.

Ignorance for if we really knew what we were doing, then we wouldn't try to cheat on life.

Why does one let themselves go too slow on such a road?

Because they let themselves.

It wasn't because of the speed limit sign.

For it only establishes perceived limits on the person.

It wasn't other drivers.

Because you are responsible for what vehicle you use anyhow.

A driver on the road of life feels no need to know what the speed limit is.

Sometimes they know they will have to race against others.

Sometimes they know they will have to slam on the breaks and turn around and then turn around again.

And sometimes they know they will have to simply put it on cruise control.

The driver directly examines the nature of the vehicle.

The driver looks at how much gas is left.

At how well their breaks work.

At how fast the vehicle is currently capable of going.

The driver directly examines the surrounding vehicles.

The driver can already see themselves getting off on the exit to the interstate of freedom even though they are many exits away.

It is not a question of what or how to get there for the driver.

It is when the driver will get there.

This is a great poem, very interesting.

I've got something to add to it:

and one day some bastard will swing out of the parking lot and hit you, or rear end you at the lights, or scratch your car while you're in the shops and drive off without leaving a note.

Just make sure you wear your seatbelt and have insurance

Lol...maybe not

Great poem!

Ah true, for one who puts on the seatbelt accepts possible periods of suffering on the road of life.

By the way, thanks!

Interesting. To add and continue the highway theme, I'll quote a song:

"Chorus:

I’m in a hurry to get things done

(oh,) I rush & rush until life’s no fun

All I really gotta do is live & die

But, I’m in a hurry & don’t know why

Don’t know why

I have to drive so fast

My car has nothing to prove

It’s not new, but it’ll 0-60 in 5.2, oh

Chorus

Can’t be late

I leave in plenty of time

Shakin’ hands with the clock

I can’t stop

I’m on a roll & I’m ready to rock oh,

Chorus

I hear a voice

It says I’m running behind

I better pick up my pace

It’s a race & there ain’t no room for someone in 2nd place

Chorus 4x

"I'm in a Hurry", Alabama
