Seeing other people post their poems, made me feel better, so I hope that this make someone else feel better too.

My Best Friend, my only love

 

You are my sun, my moon, my sky

for you I would lay down and die

I want to give the world on a plate

I wanted you to be my only mate

You are so beautiful, kind and dear

I am sorry you have to shed those tears

You brought so much into my life

I really thought you would be my wife.

 

You memories surround me now

I would have taken a vow

of celebacy for you, you know

just to see you face all aglow

I feel you scratch my back at night

I remember when we flew that kite

I hear you voice within a crowd

I see you in a wedding shroud

 

I know I have made the biggest mistake

and for that my heart will forever break

and yearn for you each night and day

for you I will forever pray

that one day, you may finally see

the real man inside of me.
