oh annie I am sorry to hear this. You prepared so well. But it is not entirely negative, it is a good sign that they are interested in the experimental plan. I think it's more important that they like THIS and let you take extra classes than the other way around.

Look at it this way, most people fail and then have to decide what else they want to do with their life. You've still got a chance.
