How do I attract a girlfriend if I am too short?

The type of person someone wants to date, their “type,” is just a personal preference.

Have you ever considered that some female's preference for a man to be her height or taller may lie in the fact that greater height dispels any self-consciousness on her part as far as her body shape and size are concerned?

Maybe some of these women don't feel confident enough themselves if they are taller than their partner. Or, maybe they feel more protected and secure with a taller man. I feel that's more rooted in biology and evolutionary psychology, rather than societal pressure or shallow preference. But, perhaps I am wrong.

If she just wants a tall man for arm candy, then yeah, she's shallow.

Just because some women choose to settle for men below 6'3 doesn't mean that isn't what women are attracted to. It's becoming increasingly difficult to attract women if you're under 6'3. Men like me are completely invisible.

Nope sorry. Was very attracted to my husband and still am and his height wasn’t a consideration. A man shouldn’t have to bend himself in half to kiss me because he is a full foot taller than I am.

My son is just over 6 feet and he isn’t bitter and angry. He doesn’t see his height as a problem . He is over the national average .

My brother’s ex wife is 6’1” so finding a man tall enough was hard . My nieces are all over 5’11”. The youngest one is taller than my son.

This is not about height.

This thread is about someone who is uncomfortable in his skin, is deformed or thinks he is, and cannot connect to the opposite sex, so he puts it on his height.

He is complaining to be heard, not to hear a solution, because he isn't ready for a solution.

Also, anything I hear 'women want X', people seem to forget that the X is mostly an ideal. Even if women want a tall man, they will probably still end up with a not-so-tall man, because there are simply not enough tall men to go around. And a woman who is 165cm will realise that a man who is 175 is tall enough.

Unfortunately there is no solution. Seen numerous specialists, none of them will operate on me because they say the potential risks outweigh the benefits. They'd rather I just suffer like this, because it's not their life on the line.

I don't know. Even John Merrick eventually got a date. Without knowing how deformed you are, I worked with disfigured combat veterans. The more you care about your appearance, the more other people will notice your frustration and focus on your appearance as well. However, nobody can be helped who doesn't want to be helped, so I wish you luck.

Being disfigured in combat is probably quite appealing to some women.

Being deformed due to crappy genetics is not.

You went for a partner who was over six foot, goodlooking, and financially secure. That's a woman's dream. Congratulations!

Your OP said 6ft was nothing and men need to be over 6'3. Then suddenly over six foot man is a woman's dream? Make up your mind.

If you aren't trolling but actually feel all the things you say in this thread, I'm afraid dating is the least of your concerns for now. Please get help.

I got what I wanted. I preferred shorter men.

There is nothing at all a therapist can tell me that I am not capable of formulating of my own accord. I can see through all of their tricks.

I've known plenty of women who have husbands or boyfriends who are either under 6',  at 6' or 6'+.

No tricks with therapists and psychologists.  You would benefit from their professional help.
