Boyfriend hanging out with female friends

I'm more 'old school' in that whether my husband (then boyfriend) socialized regularly with a group of female friends or just one female friend (doesn't matter), it wouldn't bode well with me.  I wouldn't feel exclusive and special in his life at all.  I'd feel very disrespected and as if I didn't matter that much in his life.  That's just me though.  If others are fine with it, that's great but it's not everyone's cup of tea.
