My sense is you did her a favor expecting something in return so you not only crossed boundaries you shouldn’t have crossed but you unnecessarily complicated the business arrangement. I did a financial favor for our cleaning person a few years ago. Mistake because she took advantage and kept pushing the envelope. I’m not saying I’d never do a personal financial favor for a business person ever again but I knew it was risky. Because of what happened after financially - she kept asking for more and more favors -I am not planning on employing her again despite the pandemic subsiding. I’m not saying she’s an angel.
