something of mine

[in_the_mirror]

im here on my own this time,

enjoying this life that i was blessed.

it may not be yours, it may not be kind,

but it's something of mine.

i really hope that someday

everyone can find there own

cuz life should not be thrown away

and of course, don't take it too seriously.

i must suggest to just have fun,

and to quote an earlier poem

"just go dance in the rain."

it won't hurt you i promise.

loves do come and go,

and sometimes they come and come,

and sometimes they even stay,

but being on your own is just as good,

cuz then you can offer everyone your love,

and show a kindness for everyone to see.

If my words seem confusing,

i really hope you understand in time,

i've learned what it takes sometimes

a life time to get, in just my 16 years.

so thankyou to all who have helped me understand,

and im sorry to those you wish i didn't,

for my life feels so sweet and complete.

and i can't wait for the next dance in the rain,

I hope you all can join me.

very very good, reminds me to stop taking everything too seriously and be thankful of what i have- two things that i find increasingly hard at times, as does everyone at a point, very meaningful
