EYESWIDESHUT Posted November 20, 2004 Share Posted November 20, 2004 I've always liked writing, but i have never really wrote poems. This came to me when i was at work. It is kinda about relationships, ending deadend ones and starting new ones, but it is also about growing up and making choices about where to go in your life. It is a rough draft, but i was just interested to see what others said about it. please be honest with your comments. I'm running I'm running away What's left for me here? What's waiting over there? I'll never know if i stay What I could be, of what i could have The world won't stop for me So why should i stop for the world? Nothing is going my way That is why i just can't stay I need to make a change There has to be something better I'm running I'm running away To live my life for me Not what everyone thinks i should be I'm going to pack my bags Start heading towards the sun Stop when it feels like the one I'll miss what i left behind All the new stuff i will find I'm running I'm running away What's left for me here?
