Burning I think I burnt my heart A long time ago And the blisters wont seem to go away The scars on my heart just wont fade The knife is now starting to rust Remember the day it was used? There were tears on the knife That you thrust into me Is there an ounce of regret in your soul? Any feeling in your hollow spirit What made you do it? And make me hurt so? I lied, I didn't burn my heart You burnt my heart When you set it on fire The flames now slowly engulfing my insides You laughed And got everyone to laugh with you I was just the butt of a joke And the main theme in the book You crushed me You turned me inside out You then stabbed me in the heat And then tore it out The blister still burns From years ago The blood still drips from the healed scars I cry the tears off of the knife I am no longer alive Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
