The poem she's not going to receive

Hi Everyone,

I'm new around here and I have found this site to be really helpful for me as I struggle to get over being dumped by my ex-girlfriend.

In one of those desperate, lonely moments I wrote a poem which I intended to mail to her. After some thought about the way that she left, and all the pain it has caused me, I have decided to hang onto it and share it with all of you instead. I hope somebody out there likes it.

Cheers

Love is not easy, simple or kind.

Love will at times, make you lose your mind.

Love doesn’t care if you don’t want it around.

Love doesn’t quit, or give up any ground.

Love is a Master, a Tyrant, a Thief.

Love steals your heart, and love brings you grief.

Love makes a man, weep like a baby.

Love makes a woman, scream like she’s crazy.

Love makes losing your Mom, painful and sad.

Love makes me wish, I still had my Dad.

Love is an Outlaw, who never misses.

Love is the killer of our dreams and wishes.

Love is the thing we all want, need and adore.

Love is what makes us cry on the floor.

With all love’s bad traits, I can still say it’s true,

My life would be worse off, if I’d never loved you.

Love brought me Laughter, Pleasure and Joy.

Love made me feel like the World was my Toy.

I can’t replace the love we both had,

And I can’t undo- what’s made you so mad.

I will carry the weight of my Master, my Tyrant, my Thief,

For the rest of my days, and with this firm belief.

That you, Sweetheart, are my only. My One.

You’re the woman I’ll love, for years to come

.
