MGandV Posted September 13, 2004 Share Posted September 13, 2004 She drifts off to sleep Her head on your chest Another night of passionate bliss Her love captivates Heaven within her bed Her beauty beckons sweet caress You'll never understand Of secrets never told She never forgets what to say Love in a vacuum True lies to deceive Have taken your breath away Your love for her is a lasting reminder Of someone she can't get past behind her She fears for the one that's beside her An image of a love that could kill her A strange feeling has come over you You close your eyes Can you hear the cries Of someone you thought you once knew Her beating heart soothes the pain But you know the meaning has gone insane Nothing inside you can hide form the rain The fog is lifting, you must leave her again Walking down a dim lit avenue Signs on the street say you only have one way The air is thick and the people are few Just another night, and she begged you to stay You have work to do and its very late You feel the urgent sense to make it all right One deadly mistake and you'll seal your fate Casting shadows of doubt can lead you past the light No spoken words can begin to explain Just what happened to the man downstairs He tried so hard but it was all in vain Eyes closed shut from his naked fears Shaken from the evil that grips his heart The room is spinning, his mind falling apart To hide the insanity He eludes his identity His love for her stolen like a piece of art Just another drink of sorrow She stares at you and wonders why Will you be there when she wakes tomorrow She'll be asking you to stay, as you say goodbye What lies beyond this broken dream What carries you off is the silent scream Voices at night as you try to sleep Her beating heart, so loud and so deep Desperation feeding the flames Exasperation-mortified games Images falling on your imagination Her love is feeding your own condemnation Where do all the answers lie In the agony of ignorance You see the mystery of you defy A total relapse of cognizence This is a work in progress.
