In the darkness of this lonely night,

You are gone out of sight,

 

I am thinking about the time we shared,

But do you still feel?I wish you cared.

 

I know you want to be alone,

I realize that you dont pick up your phone.

 

I dont even see you anymore are you ok?

If this is a game I dont want to play.

 

How can someone forget so fast?

When they said they wanted it to last.

 

I close my eyes tears pouring out,

Inside im dying I can feel the doubt.

 

As you are there and I am here,

Why is my heart still trying to pull u near?

 

I was always there for you for anything,

Oh my soul is burning I can feel the sting.

 

Behind this wall I am scared where I am going to be,

You told me you loved and wanted to marry me.

 

They say if you love something let it go,

But why cant I do that does anyone know?

 

I feel that this is pulling me down and im sad,

Why is it that you are always mad?

 

I am reaching out to find that nothing is there,

I am pondering this who what why and where.

 

I wish that I could just spread my wings and fly,

I wish that a smile on my face could cover up my cry.

 

I wish all the screaming and crying inside would quit,

I am hoping that somewhere inside of me happiness can fit.

 

People tell me let go and get over this,

But I ponder on him leaving and what I miss.

 

I wish this all would just go away and leave me be,

I am so mad and angry and hurt that I am blind to see.

 

I hope that you all can understand my pain,

That all I want is to make myself better and happiness to gain.

 

Never forget to always keep your eyes open when your in love,

You never know the day when someone will leave forget and shove.

 

I will continue to try to do what I need to do,

Just remember that when I said I love him it is true.

I really like this poem.

My favorite part was near the end:

Its so true & the way you wrote that is really creative!

I liked the poem, espicially the line that said: I wish that a smile on my face could cover up my cry. I like that line, alot. On some lines it seemed like you held back a little because you were concerned with making them rhyme too much. But other then that, its great.
