myonlymotive Posted August 3, 2010 Share Posted August 3, 2010 Quuuick queeestion I'm not on the pill and I haven't been for years, I'm about a week before my next period but I desperately want to delay it because I'm going on a short overseas holiday. Would starting the pill now, after ovulation, have any effect in delaying it?? If not, would there be any other way?? Fudgie Posted August 3, 2010 Share Posted August 3, 2010 I doubt it. I have "delayed" ovulation before with the Pill but I have been on it for years and have a hormone problem, while you have not. You're welcome to try it and see what happens but I wouldn't expect it to stop ovulation...it's already happened and you'll get your periods. Pack lots of pain meds.
