redrose85
I broke Java's electric one. Darn. Now she is just using the inner litter box part of it and it's all taken apart. Maybe Jasper would like one of those boxes with a roof?
OptomisticGirl
He use to have one (when my ex and I were together and we had two cats). It was this one: link removed I'd seriously consider getting it again, just not sure it would fit properly were his litter box is now (the wash room). Since it's a covered litter box I'd be fine with putting it at the entrance of the living room/kitchen but I don't know. He always adjusts pretty well to wherever I move it to. I also can't wait until L has to clean it while I'm pregnant, hahaha
Huntress0527
I'd try to get knocked up just for the sake of not having to scoop cat poop! Talking about litter boxes takes me back to when my sister had a cat. She was 9 I was 5. My sister would pay me a nickel to scoop the box. I was such a sucker. One day my sister got upset because I was petting HER cat so I said fine clean your own litter box! lol
OptomisticGirl
Lol, I really don't mind doing it. It's just a part of being a mommy. But L hates doing it so I like to see him squirm.
OptomisticGirl
Rain please hold off until I get home tonight. I don't feel like getting soaked.
OptomisticGirl
Well the rain held off until I was in my class so the walk to my car was interesting to say the least. I got soaked. >.

OptomisticGirl
Doctor still thinks its a form of lupus so she's started me on a low dose of Plaquenil, a medication used to treat Lupus. I've got to see an eye exam up in the next few weeks and her office is going to set up an appointment with a rhumatologist. I've also got to go back to her in a month for a follow up and we'll do more blood work then to see were my ANA level is at.
Seraphim
I hope the medication brings you some relief OG.
OptomisticGirl
Thank you Vic. We'll see how things go. Thankfully it's not that bad in price for a whole month's prescription, $17.
Seraphim
That is pretty awesome. At least it won't be a huge financial burden right now. Something to be thankful for. I know you do not want it to be this but it is kind of answer, you know? I will keep you in my prayers.
OptomisticGirl
Exactly. I don't want something ill have the rest of my life but its an answer.
Huntress0527
I'm glad they are at least giving you something to try. It gives a little hope. $17 bucks a month isn't bad at all. The hypothyroid meds they put me on is $4 bucks a month so I was pretty happy about that!
OptomisticGirl
I was pretty stoked when they said $17. I was expecting more like $30 even for generic.
OptomisticGirl
So we had to submit our speech outlines by tomorrow and comment on at least two other classmates' outlines with a good and constructive comment. First part was easy. The two who commented on mine said the outline was fabulous, they could tell the speech was going to be very heartfelt. Only constructive I got was to include the groom more (very good point actually). however I'm finding it super hard to comment on the ones posted thus far because it' just ridiculous. We were suppose to post the actual sentences to our intro, main points, and conclusion and some people are just posting what they will talk about. Can't really comment on that. Ugh. redrose85
I am glad you got some meds! You're writing wedding speeches? lol
OptomisticGirl
lol, well we are doing ceremonial speeches which include toasts, roasts, introductions, accepting an award, etc. We get to choose what type of ceremonial speech we do and I picked a wedding toast. I'm doing it on my best friend's future wedding to her boyfriend, ha.
OptomisticGirl
Sooo I just recorded myself doing my speech (to see how it sounded and to see if I came in under the length of time allowed) - why has no one ever told me how annoying I sound?! annie24
I'm sure you don't sound annoying. I hate my voice too
Seraphim
Everyone hates their own voice when they hear it. I do too. It sounds different in our own mind because it resonates in our head. But when we hear it recorded it is hard to "recognize."
Huntress0527
Everyone hates their own voice. When my husband and I watched our wedding video he was like is my voice really that high? It seems sometimes that my voice is deeper than my husband's.
OptomisticGirl
Yeah it's def. different than what I hear in my head, lol
OptomisticGirl
The medicine is working thus far. I took it yesterday and within a few hours I was spot free. You could still see the red marks were the hives had been but that's normal. A few started to come back before bed time but the doctor said they might as I'm on a basic low dose of the medicine. She said if I had to to take two a day instead of just one. Pretty positive.
