annie24
wacky. lol. i'm a bonehead and sometimes can't remember if i've sterilized/washed/whatevered something. maybe the people on duty thought the sheets were dirty when they were really clean?? OptomisticGirl
Not likely if they are doing things properly. When we clean the linen we bag it and push it up into their hallway, they aren't suppose to take it out of the buggie until they are ready to use it. Anything is possible. OptomisticGirl
I woke up with a headache this morning, blah. Can't believe I slept better on the couch the other night than I did last night in our own bed. Need to get motivated and dressed to do some grocery shopping. OptomisticGirl
And guess who dropped her iPhone in a glass of water this morning? Me. But it still works! This is the third time I've gotten it wet (first time I dunked half of it in a glass of water the first week I had it and then a few months back I spilled coffee on it) and it's still going strong. I'm never getting rid of this phone, ever.
annie24
Put it in a bag of rice uncooked to dry out!!
OptomisticGirl
^ I didn't even have to do that this time. I did the first time it got dunked in glass of water but it's been working fine all day. The case I have probably saved it's life to be honest, lol. The way it wraps around the phone it made it so that no liquid went in that area, just on the top of the screen.
annie24
good. i might let it sit in dry rice overnight anyway. it really helps.
OptomisticGirl
It really does. I remember when I dropped my old Samsung slide up phone in the toilet I took it apart and put it in rice for like 3 days, it worked fine afterward except the Q key on the keypad. They really need to make these things water resistant...
annie24
some people really need to stop dropping their iphones in water!
OptomisticGirl
Or that too. L was so ticked off, mostly because it was my fault it fell (even though I did the mother thing and blamed Jasper) and it was my fault there was even water in a cup sat on the floor (I had been painting). There's a good reason I refuse to have brand new technology!
OptomisticGirl
And I tried to set the house on fire today by setting a pot holder on fire. Lord.

OptomisticGirl
The normal, Roast beef on Italian Herb and Cheese with extra, extra, extra, extra chiptole. I'd been doing good and kind of back slid with it tonight.
OptomisticGirl
I got called into work today on my day off (last day off for 7 days). Wasn't a bad shift, from 3-7 but it was the reason I had to go in that really got my feathers ruffled. I'm fine with being called in if someone is sick or has an emergency but I was called in because one of the girls almost passed out. Why did she almost pass out? Because she hasn't eaten anything since Wednesday of last week. She says it hurts her stomach to eat anything and she's just drinking Mountain Dew as a source of energy. She's clearly sick because she isn't doing something that can be prevented. So was not happy but I went in because I love my boss.
annie24
it's good you go in - shows you are a team player. i think that will be on your side when it comes time to look for a new job. you'll probably get a good reference from your boss. OptomisticGirl
It helps I have such a great boss as well. She's a huge 'scratch my back I'll scratch yours' type of person.

OptomisticGirl
This pityriasis rosea thing I have. It's in the same family as chicken pox and there's nothing they can do to speed up the skin rash that comes with it, it just has to run it's course. Whenever I get over heated or sweat it makes me itch even more - hence no working out.
redrose85
try some yoga or stretching. It'll give you that worked out feeling without getting too heated up
OptomisticGirl
I'm thinking of breaking down and doing some pilates, even if I have to have a fan pointed at me while doing it. I'm just so tired of being itchy.
