270 calories on the treadmill tonight. Slow start back it's back at least.

We were talking about sex and getting pregnant tonight at work and one of the CNAs who I know just celebrated her 25th birthday was talking about how her and her boyfriend use the pull out method and it's full proof because he pulls out before he cums so she doesn't know why we bother with birth control. We were like no, it's nor fool proof, there is sperm in pre cum. She said well I don't know about that but we pull out before he comes so it still doest matter.... No, pre cum can come out at any time, not just right before he chums. This was her face: o.0

And I'm sitting there wondering how does a 25 year old not know this stuff?!?! Is this really what planned parenthood has come to? How do people not know this? This is what leads to unexpected pregnancies, misinformation!

I love Planned Parenthood as a resource. Unfortunately, not everyone uses it. And the public school system (at least in some places) is very, very lacking in terms of sex education.

The misinformation out there drives me crazy. It's 2011 people, not 1611. We know better than to think that the pull-out method alone is a viable method of BC.

I was never properly informed bout sex until I went to go in birth control at 15 and even then I didn't know a lot until later. I never want my kids that misinformed. Wy can't parents just teavh their kids? I would rather know my child is having sex and being protected from pregnancy and STDs through sound information then learning by their friends 'you can't get pregnant on the first time', even if that means I buy their condoms for them.

Yeah, I was taught a lot by my parents. My mom was one of those drs who showed up to the school health fairs with STD pictures. LOL, I spent all my time there. I learned a lot about sex ed and sex in general and I felt like I had "teach" my friends (both guys and girls) because no one told them!

Many parents find it really awkward or difficult to talk about sex. Sadly, many just bury their heads in the sand and hope that the issue will "go away".

I can understand the awkwardness to a degree. I don't think I could ever sit my sons down and discuss it but L will and I'll sit the girls down. And there will be none of this double standard crap about it's okay for boys to go out and bang but not girls. Whatever our son gets told, our daughter gets told.

Two weeks? Yeah, that's sounds about right for socialized medicine. I used to live in Canada and you could wait FOREVER to get in to see a doctor and God help you if you needed a referral to a specialist. Everyone I knew had a doctor down south in Seattle in case of emergencies. It was pretty bad and it looks like we are going to be getting it here!
