Why is the Friendzone the Deathzone?

Or as the saying goes...why buy the cow when you get the milk for free - the milk being attention, in the friendzoned's case.

 

There's a sexist kind of assumption here though, that women are just "attention seeking". What if she genuinely wants to be friends?

It can apply to men, which is why I made no gender specific remarks. Guys can also string girls along to make themselves look more desirable. I read about it in a PUA book once, how supposedly a girl will not pay as much attention to a man without a female companion than one with a female companion, and the book suggested using one or more women to attract the object of his desire. Sickening stuff.

 

This is why I suggested in a previous post that both parties state what they are looking for up front.
