Color of private parts

Had a conversation with a girlfriend last night who brought up something I'd never thought about--she's a darker-skinned female (like myself) and said something to the effect that many of the men she's been with (of varying cultural/ethnic backgrounds) have pointedly told her that while they are attracted to her, lighter/pinker labia and nipples/areolas are aesthetically more attractive. (No idea how that conversation got started!) She thinks this is because of the proliferation of paler-skinned women in the media (and in porn), but from what I understand, there are plenty of pale women with darker private parts. I just never realized this was actually an issue. Labia are labia, nipples are nipples, penises are penises--if you're attracted to the person attached, does it really matter?

To me it depends on the particular nipple(s) and/or labia in question. I am engaged to a dark-skinned Latina and she has very dark (almost black) nipples and I am completely enamored of them. Her labia isn't very dark especially when compared to her nipples so I can't comment. I will say that I have only dated white girls in the past, and among white girls, I seem to naturally prefer lighter nipples and labia

I have to agree about people being more attracted to the lighter colored genitals and nipples. Of course once I am with the person, it doesn't matter but say for example in a porno or something, I find it more attractive when they are light colored/pink.

The reason why it's darker is because it's hormones, or hormonal changes. Women who are pregnant, their nipples get darker, their labia get bigger and fuller. I think it's sad that women in the porn industry feel they need to BLEACH their butt hole. I was asked before if I bleached mine, and I was like, what the hell are you talkin' about? That's the only reason I knew about it. I'm Scottish and pretty pale, and I never thought to look at my sexual organs to think "Thank GOD I'm light"

 

No. I don't feel that it matters, but I have heard men say that they want their woman's vagina's to look a certain way, blah blah blah. Then they wonder why they don't get laid.... or why women are insecure or even discuss the different coloured tones of nipples and labias.

I have to admit that I dont find darker genitals and nipples attractive, either on men or women. the women that I've dated have all had pink genitals and the couple of times that I've seen a darker man nude, the color of his penis wasnt necessarily a turn off, but it wasnt a turn on either. I'm not racist in any way, I dont think. I just have a preference for pink and white. I wonder if it has something with the way that I am. I'm have creamy skin and pink parts, so it makes me think that maybe I'm attracted to what I look like. Does that even make sense? lol

I disagree with this, personally. I'm a dark-skinned South Asian woman who has predominantly dated white men, and this isn't something that I've ever heard before. In fact, quite the opposite. Perhaps it's primarily exposure to what is considered "normal" that delineates our preferences. (I have large nipples/areolas, for instance--that might be considered a turnoff to some if they aren't used to seeing it). It makes me sad to think that my parts would be repulsive to someone else because I do think I'm an attractive woman, but at least I haven't come accross someone who feels that way.

Why do people bleach their anus? If you shower, it's clean. So, what does bleaching offer, other than a white hole? Is that the goal?

they're bleaching it for hte same reasons - they want the butt hole to be light, just like how the porn industry pushes towards the light, pink genitals. There's people who are interested in salad tossing, so for the camera and viewers, they figure most people prefer a light coloured sphincter. Yeah, I know. A lot of women do it for porn.

Is it dying the butt hair or the actual anus? And if it's already pink, does it lighten up even more after bleaching?

I think it should be less about the color and more about the form of the part. But I noticed this pink preference too, specially in white men.

LOL people also do corrective surgery on their vagina's. I have to wonder, what are these girls thinking? What prompted them to even think about these surgeries... instead of say, a boob job or a butt implant? Or maybe they're so plastic that it ends up being the last step to perfection?

Fear of trying something else? hmm...for me personally, I have seen alot of nude men and women. the form, both male and female turn me on. But when it comes to color, I tend to be picky. I'm thinking and trying to figure out why I'm picky, but I really dont know.

 

Ok..I just thought of this. Demographics have to factor in too. I'm from a small town in the South. And caucasians are mainly what you see around here. So, it's what we're used to. Wouldnt that be completely different in another demographic like a large city in California, where diversity is prevalent?

Could be. I have always lived in major metropolitan areas myself. But my husband is form the South and never dated or slept with non-white girls before me, yet he routinely tells me I have the most beautiful breasts/private parts he's ever seen. Actually, I've had a lot of experiences like this before, and given that I usually tend to date white men, I'd say that I have an opposite outlook from you, in that it's DIFFERENCE that tends to turn me on.

 

And then of course, culture dictates what is considered desirable or aesthetically pleasing. I used to HATE HATE HATE my breasts because they're big, with big ol' nipples and areolas. I'm not totally sure where that sense of judgment came from, since this is the norm in my family. Maybe a message I'd internalized from an early age, given the naked bodies I'd seen in movies, etc.? I've since gotten over it.

 

Preferences/ideas about beauty are a mystery, aren't they?
