Bringing up their ex on the first date

I try to avoid talking about my exes, but sometimes it's inevitable that they come up in normal conversation on a first date. I just make sure to act like they're just another topic, not an obsession or sore spot.

 

And interestingly enough, out of the 6 girls I've dated from an online site, the only two to be interested in a 3rd date were the only ones who talked about their exes extensively. The other girls avoided the subject as much as possible, but weren't interested in me!
