I wouldn't be surprised if she was really miffed because she couldn't show you off and how she was moving on. You shouldn't think you are difficult, we have standards because we know what will make us happy. If you compromise those standards, it will leave you wanting more. You should be happy that you are an individual, too many lose themselves into a relationship. I'm just going to add, I'm the younger partner in an age-gap relationship, it is a maturity issue and not really age. We've been together for several years despite the nay-sayers, but we have respect for each others space and needs. It really does depend on the individuals involved. Link to comment
