hers Posted September 28, 2009 Share Posted September 28, 2009 "Pillars of the Earth" by Ken Follet. Takes place in 12th century England and centers around the building of a cathedral. It focuses on about 5 very different groups of people (monk, villan, peasant family, nobility who's lost their wealth, and corrupt clergymen) but they're all connected through this cathedral. If not, run out now and buy Me Talk Pretty One Day Also Exodus by Leon Uris was really good. Serious book. About the beginning of the Jewish state of Israel. Not hilarious, but good.
