My own sea

My own sea

I am the architect.

Through choices I create,

Trials I mandate.

Trapped by the beautiful creation,

Because the meaning left, I think.

I stop to ponder for a while,

But thoughts loop and repeat.

Lacking a compelling destination

Or creative resolution.

Further out in my mental sea,

A furious storm is upon me.

Just as I lower my conscious sail,

Another wave crashes with despair.

I made this journey on purpose, in error, I believe

While attempting my happiness through another,

But quite clearly it is now apparent,

My another searching for another.

Looking back at other choices,

I can not say that I was unaware.

This unique sea held my heart,

I just could not leave her there.

In the moment, it seemed so right,

Then over time, the tide well disguised.

Building a sand castle by the sea,

Obviously, not the best idea for me.
