Is anyone here a legal/medical transcriptionist or know anything about it?

I've been looking into these areas because I am a blazing fast typist and great writer. However, most positions seem to require 2+ years of experience. On top of that, bachelor's degrees aren't a prerequisite, and I've already earned one.

 

Is this a bad career choice for those with a college education? As crazy as this sounds, I think I'd like a job where you sit all day at your computer and type/write. I'd much rather make a career out of that than work in fast-paced environments with constant deadlines, multiple projects and meetings, etc. I think the field also suits my quiet and reserved personality.

 

Does anyone here work as a transcriptionist or know what it entails?
