Mid-Day

Clouds high above me

In the deep blue sky above

Sailing above me

My heart is sailing as well.

Free and light as a cloud.

 

The wind is blowing

Carrying all my cares away

Carrying them so far away

They will bother me no longer

My heart and soul are as free as the wind

I feel as though I am soaring.

 

The beautiful sun shines its rays

The golden rays shine down on me

Enveloping me in their warmth

I feel recharged, reenergized

I feel ready

To seize the day.

 

This midday surprise

Has me wondering

I am wondering.

Has something come over me?

There is wonder in every little thing

That I see.

 

With the wind at my back,

And the sun shining down.

It is high noon.

And my spirits are high as well.

They are soaring

Soaring so high in the sky.

And all my troubles.

Have passed me by.
