TREASURED MEMORIES

 

Another one for my book:

 

Though time passes by and new seasons fall,

My treasured memories will surely endure them all.

From those first steps I took to the joys of youthful bliss,

Enduring moments the depths of my mind did not choose to miss.

 

Though I shall age and my hair soon turn to gray,

There remain still those vivid recollections which years cannot take away,

Of laughter and tears that encompassed those days of yore,

Ceaselessly they echo through memories clear, as ever present as before.

 

Though tomorrow inevitably brings with it a brand new song,

It is my treasured memories that will aid me through my journey long,

And once more I shall hear those melodious rhythms loud and clear,

Unwavering and undying, I cherish them still, always strong, forever near.

Well written, it talks about the passage of time. It's true your memories are yours to keep and even if many years go by, they are still there in your mind, it still happened.
