agburns84
THE OLD ENGLISH HOUSE Atop a grassy hill stood the old English house, A haven of history, a picture of beauty and grace, From the winding attic staircase to the old basement mouse, It lives on through infinite memories that time cannot erase. Though the crisp winds will blow and the heavy rain will fall, That old English house survives through decades and centuries long, A true icon of a heritage proud, it still stands tall, Resilient in the face of tide and change, its heart is ever strong. Through the sturdy gate many have strolled, Up a garden path rich with wondrous joy and green, Into a hallway whence endless tales were told, Oh what wonderful times they must have been! I still wander up that beautiful grassy hill, Gazing down at the eternal valley of beauty below, as quiet as a mouse, The sweeping countryside so calm and peacefully still, I know my heart will forever reside in this old English house.
