agburns84 Posted July 3, 2008 Share Posted July 3, 2008 A GIRL FROM A FAR AWAY LAND One beautiful day in May, I met a girl from a far away land, Her beauty captured my heart, her words helped me to understand, All that lay in her past, present and future, of times of laughter and tears, Every time I looked at her I felt the warmth of her smile, my soul held no fears. We sat and spoke for hours, exchanging thoughts and sharing stories, Recollecting events of past dreams and glories. I loved just sitting beside her, feeling a warm glow with every look, I knew I could share with her my feelings like a wonderful open book. I hope to meet her again someday soon, the girl from a far away land, Even now I wish she were here, so I could feel the delicate touch of her hand, To look into her eyes once more, sensing the unique glow of her stare, My heart smiles as I think of her, a girl so wonderful and so rare.
