I think 16 is far too young to be having sex. My personal point of view would have that law upped to 18. No. Are they emotionally prepared for the consequences? More often than not, NO. That's why we need sex ed, IMO, not abstinence-only education. Since the dawn of 'man' teens have been having sex -- it's the hormones. We might as well educate them rather than ignore the problem or, worse, wish it would go away. Education, people! (Also, I don't see anything wrong with vibrators for 16-year-old girls, but that's just me. Or watch anyone else having sex, in porn or whatever. HOW does that make ANY sense??!?!!!!! You can also buy a dildo with your parents' consent (they can buy it for you), and watch porn with their consent too (they can buy it for you)! As for the age of consent,... i know its here to protect adults from abusing minors but there is NO WAY it will stop 2 "kids" having sex - you think if it was raised to 18 that 2 17 years old would be like "oh,...i really like you, yeah i really like you too, have you got a condom...oh wait its against the law lets stop" NO. NEVER. that would never ever change anything. Sex is a natural thing! its human nature!! few people are stupid/nieve enough not know what contraception is now days, there is no excuse for not taking precautions (not talking about pregnancys from accidents here, such as condom splitting/pill not working) As long as you are being sensible and safe there is no problem. Also do you really expect teens to not want to experiment?! having sex (unless you maybe have a real addiction or proble!)shouldnt interfer with school work - came out with 6 A+A*, 2 b, 2c's GCSES even though i started having sex at 15. Alsop to the police officer i do understand that yes if i was being attacked i would like a police officer around, but where i live there are literly hundreds standing around on a friday/saturday night doing nothing! Worked for me. I can't believe how many people think that people buying dildos and porn are bad. Would you rather them be buying alcoholic beverages with a fake ID or buying drugs?
