PERHAPS Perhaps you were hiding somewhere my eyes could not see, Concealed by a force that fate made be. Perhaps I was sleeping when your mind was awakening, Drifting into a realm of infinite dreams, of a world known only to me. Perhaps your voice was murmuring words my ears could not hear, Obscured only by a distance that destiny made us fear. Perhaps I could sense from afar your whispers warm and true, As I float through calming ocean waters sublime and clear. Perhaps I awoke as I felt the fondness of your touch so sweet, Alive with realisation of the moment our souls were meant to meet, Perhaps it was a unique feeling that fate allowed us to share, As we danced into the dawning of a brand new day, the world at our feet.
