I have ignored my wife and 13 yr. old daughter.

She surprised me this morning saying she has filed for divorce.

Our economic situation is strained by my only working 3 1/2 months this year due to the high unemployment rate in our area. I am a member of a local union.

There is also drug problems (mine) and I went to my first class today to correct this problem.

I first tried reasoning with her, that went nowhere.

I know not to beg her, but what can I do.

It's been said before, but I don't want to lose them and I want to win back their love and respest.

Give them the space they want at the moment, or just accept the fact they are gone?

Can she be convinced (begged, whatever) to wait for you to prove yourself before the divorce? E.g. by completing the drug programme. Meanwhile you start trying to show more love.

 

I do not know... but I just wish you best of luck. Being your wife for this long if there's nobody else she will come back if you are consistently "changed".

The papers by sherriff arrived Mon. A.M.

There is no changing her mind. Been clean for 1 whole week.

I'm gonna leave the wife alone/she wants out/ we'll see if they can be happy without me.

Guess I'll be moving on with my life...............
