Double J
I sat for an interview with a non-profit organization a few days before leaving for a three-day vacation. The company had informed that they would narrow down the number of candidates to three, at which point they would call the individuals to let them know they'd be coming in for a second interview. The lucky three would be contacted on the very day I planned to leave town. Unfortunately, I received no calls from them that day. However, they did call me two weeks later and scheduled a second interview for Tuesday of the following week. What happened here? Do you think I was originally #4, and since someone dropped out of the running, I was in turn pushed up to #3? Could it have been that it took them longer than expected to narrow down the number of candidates? Has anyone had a similar experience? Thanks in advance. Snoopy24
What was the interview for? It really could be a bunch of things. If you are still interested, just go to the second interview and see what happens. Good Luck!
DN
Could be one of the decision makers was sick for a while or had to go away for some reason.
DaDancingPsych
I would not try to read into anything and instead be grateful for the opportunity to continue trying to impress them. As others have pointed out, there could be a million reasons why you weren't contacted when they told you that you would be. Just keep focused on presenting the best you!
