And she wonders what went wrong,

How something so seemingly perfect,

Became so weak,

So fast.

And she speaks to the voices in her head,

That tell she’s not okay,

I am okay, I am okay,

She does cry.

 

But when everyone’s gone at last,

And there’s no one left to see her past,

She runs away so you don’t know,

She has tears out of control,

She tries to be strong,

She tries to move on,

But you haunt her every step.

How can she forget?

To voice what’s in her head.

It got there in the end,

She pushed it away,

And wouldn’t let it in,

But it’s consumed her,
