Looking back to when i first heard you say that you liked me,

Remembering the happiness i felt,

You made my life worth living,

You made my heart melt.

 

Every emotion i thought i could never feel,

Rushed through me,

I was in love,

How stupid could i be.

 

You were everything i wanted,

My perfect man,

You were a best friend,

I was your biggest fan.

 

You said you loved me too,

You said i was beautiful,

I believed everything you said,

Thought even the touch of your hand was meaningful.

 

But behind my back you strayed,

I understand it was just a mistake,

I know how much you were hurt by what happened,

I know your not a fake.

 

I wanted to help you,

I could have held your hand,

But it was over just like that,

I was trying to walk in sinking sand.

 

I was soon replaced,

So much for "i need some space",

I wasn't good enough,

So you went after a girl with a prettier face.

 

Now months later i still hear your name and shudder,

I want you back more then ever,

You were so perfect,

I honestly thought we might last together.

 

You had other plans,

Now i mean nothing to you,

And you live happily without me,

But still i haven't got a clue.

 

Just tell me what i did wrong,

I'd change whatever you needed me too,

I want to be able to call,

I want to be able to hold you.
