girl friend
A poem i wrote several years ago in my journal which i have just found. It was in answer to the question: ''Where does truth come from?'' And based on a Theory of Divine Command. I'd be interested to know what you think. True inspiration is a dream Everything that you see before you All that has been written down by man, Is not that of his own wisdom. Man has merely scraped the surface Of the universal Knowledge. For all the stories, In all the world Have already been written. They are lying in the sky, Waiting for someone, To grasp hold of them And then, When someone listens. To the winds, When their eyes are open, Once, In a lifetime, They may hear a story. Or it may be sent to them, From heaven above. And it may be recognised, By those men in power, As sacred. And it may be published, And become a best seller. And the author May become famous, And wealthy. And he may forget, That he did not Write the book, Which led to his fame. It was a gift. Given to him. And so, He may never, Open his heart to the universe, Again. But sometimes, It may come speaking back to him. In the forms of a dream. Maybe, It will show them, That they are nothing, Compared to this divine story. Mankind has not scraped the surface, Of anything in life. Not of the capabilities, Of the human brain, Nor of the Universal knowledge, floating around, Waiting in the world, For someone to only hear it.
