A Poem for someone I love

[Xonfused]

I wrote this to my ex, (we'll just call her lindsey for privacy reasons), about a week after we broke up. I never sent it to her until just yesterday.

If I should stay

I would only be in your way

And so Ill go, but this I know

That Ill think of you each step of my way

And I will always love you no matter what i might say

I have never had a dream come true

Till the day that I found you

 

Even though I say that Ive moved on

Ill never forget our pillow fights

and the feeling of our hands clasped so tight

 

I never found the words to say

But just know your the one I think about each day

And I know no matter where life takes me to

A part of me will forever be with you

 

Somewhere in my memory

I've lost all sense of time

 

and every time i think of what i had, i can't help but cry

And tomorrow can never be

Cause yesterday is all that fills my mind

 

There's no use lookin back or wonderin

How it should be now or might have been

All this I know

But still I can't find a way to let you go

I will always love you Lindsey, I just want you to know

I can personally relate to this and the heartache is there. I love it and it speaks to me as well. Wonderfully broken as my mom and I say.
