Love and Sacrifice

Today I learned about love and sacrifice

To not speak my mind but rather deny my heart

For thinking of her and her alone I hid the way I felt

Why did I do it?

Because I care too much to distract her

I just had to say the word "stay" and she would’ve

But I let her go, she deserves to know what’s out there

I still wish for I life with her

I hope my love will remember and return to me again

And if this never happens, may she be happy

This is the way I love her, put into words

Finally I truly understand why they say love is sacrifice.
