In life, we make plans--for parties, dates, and projects--and we set expectations for what will happen. This can be a disorienting and jarring experience and it's natural to experience disappointment and frustration. Resilience is an important skill to develop that helps us cope with life's challenges and pushes us to accomplish our goals.
It can help to start by understanding why things went awry. We may never know the full story as to what happened leading up to the cancellation of your party.
